Billing and Shipping Charges

You may or may not be billed for shipping charges depending on which shipping option the seller has chosen. When listing an item for sale, sellers select from among the following options.

1. Option 1: Charge shipping based on GearTrade's Shipping Calculator. The buyer is charged shipping based on the weight of the item. The seller is reimbursed for shipping costs.
   
2. Option 2: Charge a flat rate. The seller charges the buyer a flat rate for shipping, regardless of the actual shipping cost. The seller is reimbursed to that amount.
   
3. Option 3: Free Shipping. The seller has elected not to charge the buyer for shipping. The seller will not be reimbursed any shipping costs.
   

You will know what shipping option the seller has chosen by viewing the shipping information located on the item page.

If a seller has selected option 1, they will also select the carriers by which they can ship the item. If the seller indicates only one shipping carrier, then the item will arrive by that carrier. If the seller indicates that they can ship by more than one carrier, when you purchase the item you may select the carrier that is most convenient for you.

Your credit card will not be charged until GearTrade receives a valid tracking number verifying that your order has been filled and shipped.
